| What started as a mission of Lamar Baptist Church in 1959 has now become spiritual family existing to move people to LIFE in Christ one step at a time...together. We do this by valueing four things: LifeSURRENDERED by faith to Truth, LifeLINKED through relationships into family, LifeCHANGED through belief into obedience, and LifeSHARED by service to our world. Over the years, God has led the people of Fairway Baptist Church to the crossroads of commitment many times. Project Fairway: Growing God’s Kingdom is just one more opportunity for us to come along side God in His plans for our church. Over 6 years ago, the vision for our Family Life Center began. Needing more educational, multi-purpose, and congregational gathering space, our church family once again trusted God and stepped out in faith by committing to build our FLC. Thus, “Project Fairway” was born—the three year stewardship campaign God led Fairway through to finance the construction of our building. At the close of the 3 year period, over $400,000 had been given by the Fairway Family. Since it’s construction, the Family Life Center has become the focal point for almost everything that takes place at Fairway. Our current ministries for kids, youth & adults would be impossible without the FLC. Now we go to the next step. We move forward with thankful hearts for the blessings God has poured out upon us! We trust God again to lead us through a 3 year stewardship campaign to retire our debt and keep our ministries moving forward. |
