do I join Fairway Baptist Church?
The church you attend will have a huge influence on your relationship
with God. So it is vital that you understand its beliefs, purpose,
vision, and direction before you join. Would you buy a ticket for
a plane if you didn’t know it’s destination? Of course
not – so why join a church without knowing where it is headed?
At Fairway we invite you to attend an upbeat, no pressure, one time
class called “Discover Fairway
– 101” to hear all about us. Childcare and dinner
are provided. Then if you wish to join, at the end of the class
you’ll be given a chance to do so – by letter, statement,
or requesting to be baptized. Sign up for the next class by calling
the church office or marking the appropriate spot on the worship
registration form in our weekend worship service.

What
does it mean to be a member of Fairway Baptist Church?
We take the Fairway family
very seriously as a family because it means so much to each of us
and because we believe God brings each person to a specific local
church for a purpose. So when you join Fairway, you commit to 4
things that we talk about in Fairway 101. Those statements are:

What's
the worship service like?
That’s another great question but a not-so-easy one to answer.
We describe our worship service as a contemporary (band-led singing
time of mostly songs & choruses), exciting & real (we have
fun in our fellowship and are authentic in our worship), friendly
(guests aren’t singled out in any way but they will most likely
get greeted a lot!), and spiritually challenging (Pastor Brett preaches
intense, practical, applicable sermons verse by verse through the
Word of God). We’d love to hear what you experience after
your first visit! TOP
What
do I wear?
Great question! No one likes to be over or under dressed when they
visit a church for the first time. Fairway’s worship service
is a casual contemporary setting. We want to bring our best to worship
but we don’t limit our worship ability by our clothing. On
a Sunday morning you’ll mostly see guys in khakis and jeans
and collared shirts and ladies in dresses or slacks or pants and
nice tops as well. But there is also a spattering of suits and even
a really nice pair of shorts at times. Regardless, it isn’t
a huge deal. TOP
What
about my kids?
Fairway is all about family. We value our children’s and student
ministries and want everyone in the family to have a great worship
experience. There are Bible studies (Sunday school) for all ages
beginning at 9:30, including the nursery. During the 10:45 AM Worship
Service, kids ages 4 through Kindergarten and 1st through 4th grade
are invited to Jr. Kids Church or Kids Church respectively –
which are age appropriate worship opportunities. The first Sunday
of each month is “Family Sunday” and the 1st through
4th graders stay in the Worship Service with their parent(s).
